Jo Wakebe (the manager of this site Jo’surnalism), an exchange student in the Hague University of Applied Science is taking Journalism and Media course as a minor. He studied Sociology and Anthropology in Japan for the bachelor program for the first two and half years of his university’s program. As he studied Sociology and anthropology, he came to be interested in migration of people and refugee, which made him bring to the Netherlands and made him study this course. However, he was also inspired by the cities of the Netherlands in terms of the quite high leveled organizations of the transportations such as the bike lanes, the trams, and most importantly the balance of the people, transports, and nature in the city. Now he is on the fourth year of his University in Japan, so he is seeking a job there to be involved in the urban planning in Japan.
